The name of the store, which was established in 1978, came from a lottery tip sheet that I publish called Grandma's. Ever since then everyone refers to me personally as Grandma. I also publish the Grandma's Almanac and Dream book, which are both lottery related. I run the store full time with my daughter who was just an infant when the store started. I also have several other employees on staff who are all very knowledgeable. We are a family based business and have grown to know our customers, many by name very well and what their needs are.
We here at Grandma's Candle Shop have a very eclectic customer base ranging from the urban to suburban - from the experienced to the novice. We serve all religions and beliefs. Our merchandise is so broad you can buy a Rosary to carry to protect your cat or dog or you could also buy a spell kit to Remove a Jinx or Curse. Our store supplies Voo Doo, Wiccan, Judaism, Buddhist, Christian, Santeria, and countless other religious cultures. We are known for having one the largest selection of religious and occult supplies in the Baltimore area and now on the Internet. We offer spiritual advise for a fee. Does not matter what you are looking for, Holy Water or Voodoo dolls, we have it. We carry candles that burn 15 minutes,or candles that burn 14 days and everything in between. No request is too unusual or strange. We have knowledge in Herbal Medicine, Crystal Healing, Candle Magic, Aromatherapy, White Magic, and much, much more.
